Streamlining Program Management and Med Pass Workload
We do the heavy lifting to reduce the workload of the nursing staff. With a single monthly routine oral solid med delivery for all residents—organized to maximize med pass efficiency and supplemented as needed to accommodate changes in between deliveries—facility staff is freed from having to constantly manage the process and maintain med cart integrity.
Verifying Med Accuracy
Prior to delivery, we add two extraordinary steps to ensure medication accuracy and protect residents. First, one day prior to delivery, a pharmacist accesses the facility’s eMAR system to confirm the order exactly matches the record onsite. This eliminates the risk of a mistake caused by a miscommunication between the facility’s eMAR and the pharmacy’s dispensing profile. Second, upon delivery, a Paragon pharmacy technician repeats the process at the facility, to reconfirm and catch any changes that occurred after the prior day’s verification was completed.
Easy Access to Decision-Makers
When issues do arise, facility leaders need answers or resolutions quickly. With a very flat organizational structure, Paragon leadership and management are actively involved and present in the pharmacy’s local day-to-day operations. There is never an issue getting access to the right person to solve any problem.
